Research Center for Statistical Causal Inference
Comprehensive Research on Statistical Causal Inference
The objective of the “Research Center for Statistical Causal Inference” is to establish a systematic framework of statistical causal inference for elucidating cause-and-effect relationships from observational data, through collaboration among researchers in the various fields of practical science, such as engineering, information science, political science, economics, behavioral science, and medicine.
Specifically, to establish reliable statistical causal inference for a data-driven society, we plan to focus on the following three core activities:
(1) Developing advanced statistical causal inference techniques from observational data.
(2) Conducting integrated research that unifies theory, methodology, and social implementation for causal inference.
(3) Establishing a research network for researchers and practitioners in the field of statistical causal inference.
