At the research center, the activities of the research units on long-life infrastructure, earthquake and underground disaster prevention, water-, wind-, and fire-related hazards, community-based disaster risk reduction, the philosophy of disaster prevention, and disaster prevention in developing countries and major cities will be strengthened, and research and education will be advanced through an open innovation approach.
