Research Center for Robotics and Mechatronics

Research and development of cutting-edge robotics and mechatronics technologies

Our country is facing numerous challenges, including a rapid decline in population and workforce due to an aging society and low birthrate, as well as low labor productivity in sectors like the service industry. To address these issues, advanced technologies such as mechatronics and robotics are becoming increasingly important. These technologies have the potential to contribute to solving these problems by providing support actions, labor force supply, and performing tasks in hazardous environments. However, these technologies span a wide range of foundational engineering fields, such as mechanical and electrical engineering, necessitating not only the development of these fields individually but also their close integration for comprehensive advancement. In our university's engineering research institute, many researchers specialize in mechatronics and robotics, each conducting research and educational activities at an international level. Therefore, it is crucial to strengthen the collaboration between researchers and the industrial sector through our research base, enhancing the global competitiveness of our university and aiming to contribute to society through disseminating cutting-edge technologies to the industrial world. This approach is expected to provide effective solutions to the challenges our country faces.
