Research Center for Information and Physical Security

Developing Technologies of Next-Generation Cryptography and Advanced Cybersecurity for Resolving Problems in Information and Physical Security
Research activities in cryptography and information security at YNU began in the 1980s and have significantly contributed to the community of information security and cryptography in Japan. Furthermore, we continue to conduct cutting-edge research in Japan on next-generation cryptographic technologies and cybersecurity technologies, and have outstanding research achievements including of high-level publications, huge funding acquisition, many domestic and international awards, and the international standardization of developed technologies. This research center aims to continue advancing research activities at a high level. In future, next-generation cryptographic and cybersecurity technologies are indispensable for building a safe and secure information society globally and in Japan. Therefore, from the perspective of developing these technologies, this research center aims to solve unsolved problems in information and physical security. By conducting research that bridges theory, application, and practice across broad security fields, it seeks to advance internationally outstanding academic publications, the international standardization of developed technologies, and the societal implementation of research outcomes through industry-academia collaboration.
