Research Center for Chemical Green Transformation (GX)
Developing Chemical Reaction Systems to Realize Green Transformation (GX)
Green Transformation (GX) refers to the transition of the entire economic and social system from fossil fuels to clean energy sources. This YNU Research Center aims to achieve breakthroughs in chemistry that will drive GX. Representative research targets include: (i) catalytic CO₂ conversion toward carbon neutrality, (ii) electro‑driven and photo‑driven production and separation of chemicals, (iii) chemical processes utilizing renewable energy resources, and (iv) chemical reactions for the recycling of carbon, nitrogen, and silicon. To advance these studies, close collaboration with materials, interface, and theoretical scientists is essential.
