Research Center for Advanced Ceramics

Advanced ceramics are underlying core materials to support modern environment/energy and IT components. Advanced ceramics are generally produced by powder processing, such as molding and sintering of raw powders. Although higher accuracy, better performance, and lower cost are required in advanced ceramics, optimization depending on intuition and experience has been carried out in many cases. We have conducted research to develop better-advanced ceramics based on the scientific approaches on cutting edge powder technology and evaluation techniques. In this YNU research center, science on the powder process chain to the improvement of the function and reliability of advanced ceramics will be investigated.
